The Need
You've
been given the opportunity to speak to a group of adults. Perhaps it's a weekend service at your church,
or a midweek Bible study, or maybe a sales meeting or business presentation.
Because you only have occasional exposure to speaking, you're good, but you
want to get better. Or, maybe you speak every weekend, but you want a little
tuneup.
BCI has been created with you in mind. We want to take current and emerging
communicators to the next level in their speaking. Through lectures, on-site
student presentations, and one-on-one dialogs, Bill Butterworth wants you to
find your speaking voice so that you can be the teacher God designed you to
be.
The Experience
BCI is an intensive three-day workshop designed to make you the best communicator
you can be. Unlike other workshops, BCI is intentionally kept small in order
to maximize personal attention to your speaking needs. Three days weave together
an careful blend of:
Presentations
by Bill Butterworth on the key issues of communication
- Preparation and delivery of several presentations by each student to be
given in front of the class and evaluated by Bill Butterworth and other class
attendees
- Videotaping each speech to aid in personal evaluation and progress
- Spending one-on-one time with Bill Butterworth who will personally discuss
how to find the most effective style for you
Bill
Butterworth will be your instructor for this Institute. Since 1988, Bill has
been speaking full time in major venues throughout North America. Bill is a
regular at the weekend services of churches like Willow Creek Community Church
and Saddleback Community Church. His corporate clients are as diverse as American
Express, Walt Disney Company, Daimler Chrysler, and the National Football League.
Prior to speaking full time, Bill worked for Chuck Swindoll at Insight for
Living. And prior to that, Bill taught at the college level for eight years,
where he specialized in public speaking courses.
Bill holds a Master's Degree in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary
and a Master's Degree in Adult Education from Florida Atlantic University.
